Inspirational Earth Hour Findings

Hello,
RE: Climate Control
This is something that is all too important of a subject, that all too often gets ignored. These were found on the global Earth Hour site (earthhour.org). I found them rather inspiring, one way or another.
The topic: "Climate Change"...
WWF Director General James Leape and 10-year-old Anne-Katrine Bisgaard HÃ¥kansson from Denmark (handed) the UN Chief of Staff a shimmering globe, The People’s Orb, which contains a 350-gigabyte mosaic of the hopes, dreams and experiences of people from every continent of the world, from diverse communities in desert, forest and by the sea, to create a global mandate for action on climate change.
"Climate change may be bigger than each of us but it is not bigger than all of us," said Vijay Nambiar. "The size of the challenge has not daunted your commitment," he said.
"Action on climate change has been debated for far too long," Mr Leape said.
"Time has run out. WWF - and the other climate campaigns - join Vijay Nambiar in his urgency for a solution - our world leaders must deliver an ambitious and binding agreement this week in Copenhagen," he said.
"It is imperative that on 27 March 2010 – Earth Hour 2010 – the people of the world will feel confident that we are heading in a positive direction to protect our planet and make it a safer, cleaner, healthier future for all."

My thoughts on what has been highlighted, and why they are different colors:
(Red): The global climate change action mandate is not so much a fav. because, although to some it is a great idea... to a lot of others there may be a feeling of something lacking - like a better idea. Perhaps something that "brings more to the table" when it comes to conservation with the item being handed. Something to think about.
(Purple): The purple one is my favorite one!! It speaks to the very general public, as if not to leave even one person out... global unity feeling there. It is inspirational to all! It states an obvious to some, but not to all. It encourages all to "keep up the good work" and stay committed, reminding them of why as well as it's importance. And everyone's favorite... "The K.I.S.S. Method" is used here... "K.I.S.S." = Keep It Super Simple.
(Green): This is all too true, and everyone should be getting involved on some kind of daily basis - routine like - to do more about it!! A definate NEED to get this out more ALL THE TIME!!! That's why my vote would be to get involved in every event possible to raise awareness of the event all year... make it more like a "household name" kind of idea. And I also vote that this "1 Hour, No Power" (quoting myself here - hey, could be a "slogan" or something?) should be EVERY DAY OF THE YEAR!! Where everyday people turn all their power off - during the normal course of their "awake hours"!!
(Red): Again, not one of my favs... to have "the people of the world" only feel confident, instead of knowing due to proof of some sort; kinda makes me feel like there is some "band aid" solutions in the works instead of concrete actions and commitments that are so desperately needed!! Reminds me of either "bad engineering" in many things that I as a consumer have bought in my lifetime, or "bad politics". Either way, I say boooo.... Yes, we want all those things and know it is a "long hard road to get there", but it could be possibly a lack of being better organized into "global teams". To specialize in specific areas that are needed, so that the whole globe is really working as 1 group on each area (like Wikipedia has going on - sort of idea), instead of working to compete against each other's countries. Competition is good, but once it becomes a power struggle, it tends to lose it's original "go forthness". With healthy cooperation throughout the competitiveness, we get so much farther. Also, many more discussions should take place, and also take place over the internet via web cam. - instead of travelling (like all too many politicians have shown us). Unless of course it's a case of "only this guy can do this physical action" type thing... and I don't mean hand shakes... lol Otherwise, I feel that there is way too much waste going on with those that can afford it finacially, and all of us "poor" are suffering for it physically, spiritually, and financially. How are we to survive?... We are NOT cockroaches!!
Can we say... "LET"S GO GREEN ALWAYS!!" ?

Take Care & Safe Travels, &
Wild Wicked Wishes my friends!
